PIA Premier Service would be “future gateway” for the PIA’s financial success: PIA CEO Bernd Hildenbrand
PIA Premier, the luxury air service of Pakistan International Airlines, has been launched by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Pakistan’s 70th Independence Day.
The PIA CEO Bernd Hildenbrand said the new aircraft would be a “future gateway” for the PIA’s financial success.
“With a hospitable crew, good food and excellent service, this is something we can compete with the world,” added Hildenbrand.
Mr. Hildenbrand mentioned the cooperation of Sri Lankan Airlines and the collective teamwork of PIA’s management which helped in the launch of the quality air service in short time, under the directive of the premier.
The Prime Minister took a round of the aircraft, met passengers and appreciated the quality of services on offer.
Mr. Sharif was accompanied Mr. Ishaq Dar, Finance Minister, and Mr. Parvez Rashid, Information Minister at the occasion.
The cabin crew on board was attired in new designer burgundy-maroon coloured uniforms with green scarves for women and men were in navy blue suits with green ties.
There will be six weekly Premier service flights to London, three each from Islamabad and Lahore. Later, with addition of more aircraft, the service would be expanded to other destinations.
The premier services would also be launched on other routes, including China, with the availability other three A330s aircraft.
The aircraft is equipped with LCD screens and inflight entertainment offering 250 channels as well as flat bed service for business-class passengers.
A complimentary limousine service for PIA Premier business-class passengers will be given upon their arrival at Heathrow Airport.
The menu at PIA Premier include smoked salmon sandwiches, Chicken Hara Masala, Palak Paneer, Mutton Karahi, Chicken Roulade with mushroom sauce, Pulao Arasta as well as an assortment of pasta and salads. Dessert options include Creme Brulee, Blueberry Cheesecake and Chocolate Hazelnut Cake.
