Mayor of Islamabad directed the completion of Islamabad Citizens Club recreation center by September 2017
Citizens of Islamabad will soon be able to enjoy state-of-the-art recreation facility with the opening of Citizen Club at F-9 Park.
Visiting the construction area, Mayor of Islamabad Sheikh Anser Aziz said that almost “90 percent work has been completed and rest of the work would be completed by 30th of September this year.”
“This Citizen Club will be a unique gift for the citizens of the Capital City” the Mayor remarked.
Expressing his satisfaction over the progress of the project, he directed the concerned formations to complete the remaining work of Citizen Club within two months by September 2017 so that the people could enjoy the state-of-the-art facilities at the Citizen Club.
Spread over sprawling 22 acres, some of the recreational facilities at the Citizen Club will include swimming pools, ladies and gents spa, fitness centre, gymnasium, library, billiards room, lawn tennis, jogging track, large car parking, restaurant, bakery among other services.
The construction work of auditorium with a capacity of 500 people in the Citizen Club has been completed. The Club will also comprise of conference rooms, banquet hall and 56 suits.
The Citizen Club will soon become the major recreational facility for residents of Islamabad, the Mayor said. The Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) administration will ensure provision of recreational state of the art recreational facilities in F-9 Park.
Member Engineering, Asad Mehboob Kiyani, Director General Work, Sajjad Zaidi and other officers of concerned formations also accompanied the Mayor of Islamabad and Chairman CDA, Sheikh Anser Aziz on his visit to the under-construction facility.
He also shared that more exciting projects for the citizens will be initiated after the completion of ongoing projects in Islamabad.
