Avengers: Age of Ultron

Avengers: Age of Ultron has received an impressive opening weekend at US and worldwide. The film’s debut in U.S. theaters kicked off in a big way, generating more than $84.4 million in ticket sales and putting Avengers: Age of Ultron in the record books with the second-highest single-day gross of all time.

Age of Ultron assembles all the main Avengers from the first outing. The new movie is a true sequel to 2012’s The Avengers and follows the story of superheroes: Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Captain America (Chris Evans), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner). A lot happens simultaneously in the new Avengers movie, there is a lot of mockery between the characters and the absolute energy pulsating from each frame instantly catches your attention.

Two new characters are also introduced in Avengers 2, Pietro (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen), who possess powers of their own. They are, in fact, Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, respectively, the mutant twins from the post-credits scene of The Winter Soldier. As agent Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders) explains in a later scene to Captain America, “He’s fast, she’s weird.”
